Take a good look at the Thing in this picture. Now, not only is the head in a position that doesn’t look like anyone (mutated or not) could survive, but what sort of pose is that for the rest of his body? Frankly, it looks more like someone took their action figure, turned the limbs as much as possible, and tossed it in the corner!

Ha! Torch's arm has that same action-figure look to it as well. And the surfer's fists look randomly pasted on to his arms. And the perspective of the buildings in the background is , shall we say, capricious.
I'm guessing this piece of junk was drawn by Rich Buckler? Bleh.
